Strengthen And Tone With An Online Pilates Instructor

Strengthen And Tone With An Online Pilates Instructor

Pilates is renowned for its ability to improve physical and mental health. At Breathe®, we offer personalised instruction to help you achieve your wellness goals. When paired with an online Pilates instructor, you can experience the benefits of this practice from the comfort of your own home. Whether you’re seeking to alleviate stress, improve your posture or recover from an injury, Breathe® sessions enable you to prioritise your health with convenience and flexibility.

The Benefits Of Pilates

An online Pilates instructor will be able to teach you everything you need to know about this practice as they guide you through each session. Pilates targets core strength, flexibility, balance and overall body awareness. Developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century, this form of exercise has gained popularity for its ability to enhance physical and mental well-being. By engaging in controlled movements and mindful breathing techniques, you not only become physically stronger but also nurture a greater body-mind connection.

Research into Pilates exercises has shown that the transversus abdominis muscle is the first muscle to be activated in relation to limb movement. Pilates movements consistently engage the abdominal wall, leading to improved balance. Studies have found evidence for this, showing that balance can improve following as few as ten Pilates sessions. This is particularly important for preventing falls as you age.

Studies have also demonstrated enhanced mental well-being following the introduction of regular Pilates sessions. A 2018 meta-analysis looking at the effect of Pilates on mental health found statistically significant improvements in symptoms of depression and anxiety, and feelings of energy and fatigue. Pilates can also be used for injury rehabilitation and prevention. The low-impact form of exercise uses targeted movements and correct alignment to help you recuperate and regain strength.

Customised Sessions Tailored To You

At Breathe® Yoga & Pilates, we understand that every individual is unique, with different abilities, goals and limitations. Whether you opt for in-person instruction or an online Pilates instructor, we’ll customise each session to suit your specific needs. By tailoring exercises to challenge you at the appropriate level, we ensure that your sessions are safe, effective and enjoyable. Many of our instructors specialise in injury rehabilitation, using their expertise to create sessions that target specific muscles to enhance your recovery and reduce the likelihood of reinjury. Our personalised approach means that you’ll never feel out of your depth or left behind. We believe in empowering our clients to achieve their fitness goals while honouring their bodies and their limits.

In-Person Instruction And Online Sessions

With Breathe® you can enjoy personalised Pilates anywhere in the world. If you live in London, we offer in-person classes at home, at the office or wherever else you wish to practise. Outside of London, an online Pilates instructor will deliver the same high-level classes regardless of your location. With just a computer or mobile device and an internet connection, you can participate in live classes at your convenience. If you’d like to share your sessions with family, friends or colleagues, we charge the same hourly rate, regardless of how many people attend the class.
